Cody Harrison, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in 2015. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of Utah in 2006. During his training, Dr. Harrison completed rotations in private practice MD/OD settings and served patients at the Fort Sam Houston troop clinic.
With over a decade of experience, Dr. Harrison has developed a strong focus on medical optometry, particularly in disease management and post-operative care for procedures such as LASIK, PRK, cataract, and pterygium surgery. Fluent in Spanish, he has provided comprehensive eye care to diverse communities across South Texas. He is a proud member of both the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association.
Dr. Harrison was drawn to optometry while working in a hospital setting during his undergraduate years, where he saw the meaningful contributions, clinicians make to their communities. For him, optometry offers a unique chance to enhance each patient’s quality of life. Dr. Harrison particularly enjoys meeting new people each day and assisting them with their vision needs.
Outside of work, Dr. Harrison loves spending time with his family and cheering on his kids during their baseball and softball games.
Joyce Garza, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston’s College of Optometry in 1995 and earned her undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Garza was five years old when she first visited the eye doctor. She remembers her visits were always very pleasant, and her eye doctor became her favorite doctor. Her experiences also played a large part in her decision to become an optometrist and to strive to provide her patients with the highest quality eye care available.
In practice since 1995, Dr. Garza says her greatest reward of being an optometrist is being able to help children see clearly for the first time and experience their happiness when they leave the office. In her time away from the office, Dr. Garza loves watching movies with her husband and training/playing with their puppy. She also enjoys reading and staying active by running and working out in her spare time.
